Adaptable Solutions has signed as an Assistance PSA software vendor to strengthen the professional services vertical.
Assistance PSA is based on a very successful application Assistance PSO, which was written by Assistance Software of The Netherlands. The original product interfaced to Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Dynamics AX.
With the release of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, Assistance Software rewrote the PSO functionality within Microsoft CRM 2011 to provide a true xRM product for professional services organisations. Assistance PSA uses the standard functionality of CRM 2011 which provides the integration to both AX and SharePoint.
With Adaptable Solutions’ strong background of working with Professional Services Organisations usings Microsoft Dynamics SL, Assistance PSA became a logical addition to broaden our offerings to Professional Services companies.
We saw Assistance PSA demonstrated at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in New Orleans and have followed the developments with great interest. We now have signed a Premier Partnering Agreement and offer PSA to New Zealand customers.
Assistance PSA utilises the sales process of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, extending the capability with project functionality linked to CRM opportunities - Opportunity to Projects. We can define the type of project, create a budget and schedule resources. The addition of time sheet and expense functionality allows the costs to be accumulated against the projects and facilitate billing. Billing created in PSA sends the invoice to Dynamics ERP or existing ERP application.
PSA is ideal Professional service ERP application based on the familiar user friendly look and feel of Dynamics CRM.
It comes in both On premise and Hosted options and it can scale from a few to 1000 users.

Earlier this month Microsoft released Rollup Pack 4 for CRM 2011. For those of you not familiar with Rollup Packs, these are packaged deliveries of hot fixes, minor enhancements and performance tuning and are traditionally released every 6 weeks.
Full lists of fixes are available on the links at the end of this blog but although high in volume, most are fixes for minor defects. A couple of the more relevant include:
-
When you use the Mail Merge function to send an email message that has an attachment in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 client for Outlook, the full location of the attached file is displayed in the file name of the attachment.
-
All email messages that are generated by the Mail Merge function have the same regarding contact.
-
Correcting the unhandled exception error that occurs when merging duplicate records.
These Rollup Packs can either be installed manually or as part of a windows update, we strongly suggest that Rollup Pack 4 is only installed manually. The main reason for this is that Rollup Pack 4 cannot be removed as there are specific database updates that get applied and therefore there is no ability to unregister. It is therefore of utmost importance to perform all necessary database backups before commencing rollout.
If you have any questions or concerns about Rollup Pack 4 please contact us via your usual support channels or at crmsupport@completesolutions.co.nz

Adaptable Solutions offers one-stop shop for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, AX and SL.

Complete Solutions DG Ltd. and Adaptable Solutions Ltd. announced a merger, and will begin trading as Adaptable Solutions Ltd. effective immediately.
This merger strengthens Adaptable Solution’s position as one of the leading Microsoft Dynamics partners in New Zealand, with its offering now encompassing Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Dynamics AX and Microsoft Dynamics SL solutions.
Existing staff numbers have almost doubled, with 10 CRM and ERP certified specialists joining the team – producing the most experienced Dynamics support team in New Zealand.
Managing Director and founder of Adaptable Solutions, Duncan Cox, believes the time is right to take full advantage of the growth in integrated CRM, ERP and cloud computing.
“Organisations are increasingly extending the use of ERP systems to include CRM. They want the power of Dynamics CRM from a single supplier. In consolidating the support and sale of Microsoft Dynamics AX and SL, and adding greater resources to the business, the merger allows us to take full advantage of the growth in integrated CRM,” says Duncan.
“Microsoft’s recent release of CRM Online also enables us to offer a cloud computing solution, a technology we expect to see emerge as a force in the ERP market in the near future.”
Lindsay Zwart, Microsoft Dynamics New Zealand Manager, says this merger is an exciting time for the industry.
“The success of this new organisation lies in the experienced staff and breadth of offering. This represents a time of strength in the Dynamics industry – we anticipate partners and customers focusing further on cloud solutions and competition increasing as they rise to the standards set by Adaptable Solutions.”
The merger is being effected by the issue of 40% of the shares in Adaptable Solutions Ltd to Complete Solutions DG Ltd which in turn is owned by Data Group Ltd and interests associated with John Biggs. The company directors will now include Duncan Cox as Managing Director, John Biggs as Director of Sales and Marketing, and Rollo Gillespie and Richard Carlyon as Directors.

In the new world of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online a new term has arisen called ‘Partner of Record’. This is the official way that Microsoft describes the partner chosen by a client to guide them through the selling and implementation process.
What should a client look for when assessing a Partner is what the partner can offer and how much will it cost. There are four areas where you will look for assistance.
- Initial information, maybe a demo, and answering questions.
- Implementation.
- On-going support.
- Additional Consulting.
Because of its nature many of these services need to be delivered via the web.
If you choose Complete Solutions as your Partner of Record we will agree to do the following:
- Answer your questions and provide you access to our knowledge base, online questions, live meeting demos etc.
- Provide an implementation methodology, which we have trialled, at $4500 for 5 users, so we allow $900 per user. This includes design, customisation, setup, and training. The implementation methodology is a guideline only and is flexible to meet your needs.
- On-going support - we will offer $20 per user per month for 5 to 20 users.
- Consulting - give you a price that will help you make the most out of your system.
Start today!
Sign up and when you receive the welcome email look for Complete Solutions as you partner of record, or ring me on 09 302 6220 – John Biggs.
