There is much debate about how fast and how many business applications will migrate to the cloud. The overriding consideration is there are substantial web presence by companies such as Amazon, Google and Facebook.

As these companies expand their business offering, traditional “on premise” products, such as Spreadsheets, Word processing, CRM and ERP will become targets for these companies.

In the meantime Microsoft will not sit back and watch as their tradition market is eroded.

In 1910 95% of industry’s electricity was generated on premise. 10 years later - only 5% was generated on premise as electricity became a commodity.

While we cannot say that there is a direct correlation between Information Technology and Electricity, we can say that traditional industries have been transformed and we believe that business applications will go the same way led by CRM.
